Very rare shirt, only used for a very short period of time after the association switched from O’Neills to adidas in 1985, and then adopted the new crest for 1987. This is actually the same design style used by the O’Neills for the last time in 1985, just with a different material blend and shade of green. There was a strong squad in place at the time, who went on the qualify for Euro 88, making history for the Ireland national team. The likes of McGrath, Moran, Houghton, Whelan, McCarthy and Aldridge. The great Liam Brady was coming towards the end of his playing days.
In Very Good vintage, worn condition compared to similar shirts of this age. Will present with general signs of wear as to be reasonably expected of a pre-worn, 40 year old shirt.
Size Adults Large on tag. Pit to pit is 53cm and length from top of shoulder to hem is 70cm.
