Argentina Away Football Shirt Camiseta Camisa Trikot Maglia Maillot World Cup 1986 Diego Maradona

As worn by the great Diego Maradona as he inspired his beloved country at the 1986 World Cup in Mexico. They wore a version of this shirt which was crudely put together on the day of the quarter final against England, after deciding they didn’t want to wear the original shirts given to them. They beat England that day, with Diego scoring the infamous “Hand of God” goal, but also that incredible solo effort. They didn’t stop there, and went on to win the tournament outright. This shirt is a Japanese market issue shirt from the era, and has the great man’s number printed on the back.

In Very Good vintage, worn condition compared to similar shirts of this age. There is a very feint outline of an original number set on the back. The current “10” has age and some wear to it, as pictured, so I would assume it was replaced some time ago. The current print is consistent with the other Japanese market versions of this shirt I have seen previously.

Size Adults Medium to Large equivalent. Jaspo LL, which was the Japanese market sizing for the time. Pit to pit is 54cm, and length from collar to hem is 73cm.
