Description
Brazil Away Football Shirt Maglia Trikot Camiseta Camisa Maillot 1985 1986 1987 1988
As worn by some of the greatest Brazilian players of all time, not least the mercurial Zico who’s iconic number “10” we had added to the back of this shirt, and the majestic Socrates! They also had Falcao and Eder, and young players coming through like Careca and Bebeto. This is an original Japanese market issue shirt from the era. Throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s, Europe based manufacturers like Umbro, adidas and Kappa licensed out production of certain kits (usually just the bigger clubs, or teams represented by iconic players) to Japanese based manufacturers, for sale on the Japanese market. These kits are highly collectible as they were not mass produced in the same quantities as the European market shirts. Some Japanese market shirts would differ slightly from the European market shirts.
In Very Good vintage, worn condition, compared to similar shirts of this age. Will present with general signs of wear, as to be reasonably expected of a pre-worn, 40 year old shirt. There is a feint outline of an old number set (looks like Socrates’ “8”) on the back under the new number.
Size Adults Large equivalent. Jaspo LL, which was Japanese market sizing from the era. Pit to pit is 54.5cm, and length from collar at neckline to hem is 78cm at the front.
