France Home Football Shirt Maillot Maglia Trikot Euro 1984 “ROCHETEAU”
One of the most iconic shirts of all time, worn by Les Bleus as they claimed their first major international title, winning the 1984 European Championships. Star of the show for them was undoubtedly Michel Platini, who dominated the entire tournament and was clearly its best player, scoring 9 goals in total. They beat Spain in the final to ease some of the pain of their exit at the semi final stage of the previous World Cup. This is an original Japanese market version from the time, and appears to have original number set – former PSG forward Dominique Rocheteau’s squad number 16. He was a key member of the team, but missed the final through injury. Amazing piece!!
In Very Good vintage, worn condition compared to similar shirts of this age. Has some minor wear near the crest, to the material, as pictured, and to the number print on the back.
Size Adults Medium equivalent. Jaspo L, which is Japanese sizing from the era. Pit to pit is 51cm, and length from shoulder to hem is 72cm at the front.
