This is a match day shirt worn in the build up to Euro 96. Match day version shirt with no NIKE logo on the chest or label near the hem. Match day print on the front and back also. These shirts were not available for sale to the general public, and it is even more rare in long sleeves. I believe this was worn by former Lazio and Chelsea midfielder Roberto Di Matteo against Georgia in October 1996. He played as “10” in this game, wearing long sleeves. This shirt was obtained along with several other match worn or issued Italy shirts from the 90’s and 00’s, including another confirmed Di Matteo match worn Italy shirt with COA, from a reliable source. The source is based in Rome, so all of the Italy shirts acquired belonged to either former Roma or Lazio players, and they also had an extensive Roma and Lazio match worn club shirt collection.
In Excellent vintage, match worn condition compared to similar shirts of this age and usage.
Size Adults Large. Pit to pit is 56cm, and length from collar to hem is 70cm at the front and 76cm at the back.
