Juve were defending champions (hence the Scudetto shield on the chest of this shirt), but could only finish runners up to Diego Maradona’s Napoli in 1986/87. This was despite having a star studded squad including Cabrini at the back and the two genius’ Michael Laudrup and Michel Platini. This is an original Japanese market issue shirt from the era. Throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s, Europe based manufacturers like Umbro, adidas and Kappa licensed out production of certain kits (usually just the bigger clubs, or teams represented by iconic players) to Japanese based manufacturers, for sale on the Japanese market. These kits are highly collectible as they were not mass produced in the same quantities as the European market shirts. Size Adults Medium equivalent. Jaspo M, which was the Japanese market sizing for the era. Pit to pit is 49cm, and length from shoulder to hem is 70cm.
