Kashiwa Reysol Hitachi FC MATCH WORN J League Home Shirt 1987/88 Adults M
The club was formed by the Hitachi corporation for their workers, as was the case with a lot of Japanese football clubs prior to 1992. They would join the J League in 1992 as one of the founding members, and change their name to Kashiwa Reysol, maintaining the association with Hitachi through sponsorship. They would sign Brazil striker Careca in 1993, followed by the great Hristo Stoichkov in 1997. It is hard to place these Japanese shirts from prior to the advent of the J League, as there is not a lot of photo archive, but based on the style and labels I would place it between 1987 and 1988. This is a match worn shirt based on the fact that it is Made to Order, and has the larger match day squad number on the back. These shirts were not commercially available either.
In Very Good vintage, worn condition, compared to similar shirts of this age.
Size Adults Medium equivalent. Jaspo L. Pit to pit is 49cm, and length from shoulder to hem is 71cm.
