Scotland Away Football Shirt Trikot Maglia Maillot Camiseta Camisa Jersey World Cup 1986

As worn by the Tartan Army at the 1986 World Cup in Mexico. They had a star studded squad including the likes of Gough, Souness, Strachan, Archibald, Sharp and “Champagne” Charlie Nicholas. But they still bowed out at the group stages after two defeats and a draw, albeit against very tough opposition. This is an original Japanese market shirt from the era. Japanese market shirts were shirts licensed for production by European companies like Adidas, Kappa, and in this case Umbro. They would usually do this only with the very big clubs and national teams, or teams that contained a very popular player (like Platini and France 1986, Zico and Brazil 1986 etc), and also shirts worn by teams who had won a major competition (like Argentina 1986, Holland 1988).

In Very Good vintage, worn condition compared to similar shirts of this age. Will present with general signs of wear as to be reasonably expected of a pre-worn, 40 year old shirt.

Size Adults Medium equivalent. Jaspo LL which was the Japanese market sizing for the era. Pit to pit is 50cm, and length from top of shoulder to hem is 72cm.
